Visitante en tu propia casa

En la maleta se empacaron las expectativas de regresar a casa. Antes del viaje la memoria trae las imágenes  de los lugares familiares tan amados y conocidos. No ha pasado mucho tiempo,— dos o tres años quizás—,  y sin embargo el aroma, las texturas y las emociones  han alcanzado el estado de casi idolatría. Cada vez que se achica la cuenta regresiva se añoran más y más el reconenctarse con esos sabores y olores arraigados al alma. La memoria comienzan a recorre calles, bares, casas, parques y restaurante en los que se crearon y nacieron historias ¡No ves la hora ve ir a casa!



Te montas en el avión y durante las más de 18 horas de vuelo continuas haciendo planes en tu mente "¡Que rico! voy comer papita criolla, granadilla, empanadas.....Ahhh no veo la hora de tomarme una cervecita en el parque... Que bien sentarme a leer en la ventana de la casa de mis papás...". Estas volviendo a casa, a tu tierra, y aunque no sea para quedarte no vas de turista. Planear y soñar esos reencuentros con lo familiar entretienen el tedio de los aeropuertos.

Llegas y no tardas mucho en descubrir que sin duda todo ha cambiado. Desde el cielo ves más techos que cultivos, desde la calle ves más luces que estrellas. Abres la maleta y te encuentras casi de inmediato comparando todo lo que te era tan conocido con lo que tienes en frente. Te ves un poco ridículo preguntado "¿Qué pasó con mi café favorito ? ¿Qué fue de la casa abandonada en la esquina? Oíste, ¿pero para qué otro centro comercial en menos de 10 cuadras?" Todo es ahora obra en construcción.

Descubres pronto que la rápida  metamorfosis  remplazó casi todo el verde y la sombra de los árboles del barrio por palmeras y arbusto. El humo de los carros y el ruido de las motos ahoga el canto de los pájaros, —esa es ahora la verdadera melodía de la ciudad—, y hacen el aire pesado y caliente. El calor y sabor a polución en la boca te hacen sentir como turista. La ciudad esta distintamente igual y en ese tiempo que ha pasado sin pisar su suelo la energía que sentías ya no es la misma. Los venteros ambulates pregonan las novedades musicales,  libros y películas no conoces.  Todas las canciones en la radio suenan iguales, pero los artistas son diferente, nuevos para vos. La ciudad se sigue extiendo por las laderas de las montañas dramática, voraz y menos, mucho menos de verde.

Te ves confundida sopesando las expectativas con la realidad. Te duele volver y no ver la Medellín tan  linda de la memorias, tan primaveral como en su "apodo", tan verde como la soñabas. Descubres que quizás ahora sos forastera en esas calles recorridas por décadas y cuando  la tercera persona en un almacén cualquiera te pregunta "usted no es de acá, ¿verdad?" te das cuenta que sin proponértelo te haz convierto en una visitante en lo que antes y siempre llamabas tu propia casa.

The outdoor magic

I love my beautiful Colombia. I'm 100% proud of said: I'm Colombian and that Colombia is a great country, with lots of faces, both good and bad. All the goods and bads make the country a special place, a place really enjoyable for live, love and play, so don't get me wrong with this but: Live in USA rocks! Ghost friends

When I was a single woman if after a couple of dates with a guy he started to not call me, nor to appear on the weekends, we were over. No more dating and not even care about that boy anymore. I'll take him out of the key chain! and eventually move on. I'll still talk with him from time to time, but I'll no care.  Now, What to do with a ghost friend? the type of friend that is never around, and when is around is because is "connivance" for him. That friend you feel you can not ask for anything because you never know what to expect. That friend that just call you when is single again.
